This curve-sided box is solid ebonized cherry (cherry dyed black with analine dye) and finished with 20 coats of highly polished lacquer.

Interior is natural cherry finished in acrylic.

The bottom is lined with white suede leather.

Hinges are handmade brass outboard hinges.
